Napier New Years Eve Fireworks

Having recently been selected as the official supplier for the annual Napier City Council New Year’s Eve fireworks display, Boom Factory wanted to truly “Wow their crowd”.

Putting on a show for over 10,000 people from atop the sea viewing platform was no small challenge, and this year for the first time ever thanks to an awesome sponsorship deal with Soap Laundromat, there was a second show scheduled at 9:45pm for a family display adding to that challenge.

Not ones to shy away from the big jobs, the Boom Factory team set to work, employing their cutting-edge Finale3D software to ensure both displays were choreographed and executed to perfection. The 3D rendering of the midnight show can be viewed here.

The complexity of setting up this show was pretty extreme but handled professionally and effortlessly by the Boom Factory team with safety high in their mind, every detail was checked and rechecked.

The result left the crowd in awe with some remarking that this was “The best New Year’s fireworks show in memory”. A great result for their first year displaying at the iconic location.

The main show itself was stunningly captured by Tim Whittaker in 4K via his commercial drone. (Note: Tim is a CAA licensed drone operator)
